Who was Shrimad Jeshingbapa

Shrimad Jeshingbapa was born in the small pious village of Godhamji (also known as Ganthiyol) of Idar Taluka on 23rd August 1922, Thursday, on the Pawan festival of Raksha-Bandhan. This village, in Sabarkantha District of Gujarat, is known as the land of Saint Shrimad Jeshingbapa.

The Saint was known as "Bavji" throughout the entire district. He was a very simple family man (farmer) who loved, believed, and served all of God's creations (human beings, animals, etc.). Res Bavji had received formal education only up to the 2nd standard. He practiced "Sajiv kheti" (organic farming) and never used pesticides on his farm, considering their use to be cruel violence. Even today, many of his followers do not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

After his demise 34 years ago, in Bavji's memory there is a Smruti Mandir (temple), his Samadhi, and Shrimad Jeshingbapa Hospital in Godhamji, along with nest boxes and troughs for animals. 1900 troughs (water tanks) for animals to drink water (photos are available in social initiatives) in Gujarat and neighboring Rajasthan have been constructed adjoining various Gaushalas, where devotees and followers of Bavji work without any wages or charges. For him, nothing was more important than the self-realization and welfare of the soul.
